I love this style as well! I just wanted to share my friend's comments on this piece:

"Very good take! Although in my mind, it's less impressionistic and even MORE Van Gogh-y in my mind. But Van Gogh is a post-Impressionist :-P (Okay, I looked that up on the Wiki, but I never considered ole Vinny to be a true impressionist, he's more abstract and textural). A Matisse would've had more definition, whereas Van Gogh would've had more this sense of JUST color.

The fact that we can HAVE this conversation let's you know how good this work is! ;-) SO AMAZING!"

This is beautiful, I wouldn't be ashamed to hang this on my wall. I don't think anyone would. Seriously, I could get this for my mom and she would love it (Her favorite artist is Van Gogh). Well done!

Want to be friends? I want to be friends, this is amazing. I love impressionistic styles, but I've always been closer to Van Gogh than the almost Monet / Rembrandt style you've got here. It's sooooo amazing.

Yays! Y'know, I've actually never understood the llamas thing. Mebbe it's because I've only been on here for a few months, but... yeah. Llamas.

Also, I really can't reiterate just how much I love the colors and brush work in this painting.
