Oil on Canvas ~2 inches by 2.5 inches inset of it can be difficult to show all the details in a large painting using photographs, to get a good shot I need very bright but soft light
and without a photo tent you get either what was uploaded yesterday (dull colors and a tad fuzzy) during a too overcast day
or what is up today (bright but has shadows and shiny spots)
I can compensate for the overly bright day by taking a small detail photo, this also can serve to give you an idea of the quality of resolution that will be in any prints that I sell, which I use much much higher resolution images and perfect conditions to create.
here's to tomorrow being a very bright and cloudy day!
Those textures! Oooh, if only I could actually see this painting in reality and examine it up close - there's something visceral about oil paintings in particular that digital art will never be able to capture.
